If he could do so it could be one of the most exciting races this season!
Robert Ban goes 2 for 3 at Zen Joltis; German Racing 1-2; Speed penalized!!
Robert Ban beats out rookie teammate Colin Stewart
The final race of the season for the Division 1 of the Snickers Cup Series drivers is at Zen Joltis Superspeedway. Mobil 1 series champion Trent Dunham has taken the pole for the final race of the season. In the championship picture, only one drivers in the fight is in this series. Tony Speed is looking to set the bar high for the other contenders in the next two races as he starts out the race in the seventeenth position.
Green flag drops over the field and already you are able to see what kind of action was going to happen in the race. Jack Richards dropped down to the inside line as soon as it was legal, making it three wide for the lead with Dunham, outside front row Alan Tanker, and himself.
Steven Dillion leads the field back down to the line as the first caution of the day comes out. Looking at the replay, very slight contact was made when Preston Ploward and Jamie Watson were battling hard in a four wide position through the corner. Both of their cars lock together and begin to head up to the outside of the track where Max Russell and Alan Tanker were unable to avoid the two of them. All four cars head into the wall where Russell and Ploward's cars both overturned onto their roofs. Adam Rose gently nudges Tanker's machine which was sliding on its side against the outside barrier. Pole Sitter Trent Dunham also gets involved as his car is tapped on the left rear quarter panel as he gets turned and grinds against the outside wall going backwards. His machine is then literally rolled over by the still flipping Preston Ploward. Watson's machine also begins to barrel roll during the crash.
A second crash occurred at the same time as the previous accident was happening. Charles Jackson and Leo Rodges make contact, getting Rodgers very loose and sending his car back up into the rest of the field which had avoided the wreck happening right behind them. Jordan Hezter, Ben Ward, and Eric Burton are also involved into the wall as Burton and Hezter's machines also overturn heading down the back straightaway. Austin Laplante get tapped by a spinning machine, his car making a sharp right turn as his right front slams into the outside wall. Cars retired from the two accidents are: Burton, Rodgers, John Dillion, Dunham, LaPlante, Fergus, Henley, Hezter, Watson, Ploward, Russell, and Tanker.
Pit stops were made during caution, giving the lead now to Logan Wilson. Championship contender Tony Speed restarts third as the green flag comes back out on lap six. Lap six is the first full green flag lap as the lead was passed over a few times to Jack Richards who led the lap. Cars still battling three and four wide right behind the leaders. Colin Stewart leads lap seven as the remaining twenty-four cars are four and even five wide through the entire lap seven.
Pit Strategy starts to play into the race now as on lap ten the leader at the time T.O. Bayne dropped down from his lead and heads into pit road alone. However just as the cameras turn back to the field, a big crash happens on lap 10, leading to Adam Rose leading the field back down to the second caution of the day on lap eleven.
Checking the replay for the second caution, Josie Berg makes the smallest big of contact with her own brother Jake Burg, turning him down into Kenny McCrury. That contact causes both Berg and McCrury to head up the track and right into Jack Richards, Tim Walch, Richard Earnhardt, Steven Dillion, and Ray Wilson as Wilson goes up and catches the catch fence with the nose of his car. Tony Speed is just barely able to avoid all of the cars involved and continue on. Dillion, Earnhardt, Jake Berg, and Steven Dillion all retire from the damage they received during the accident.
During the caution a few cars came down bit road including Adam Rose, which hands the lead over to Robert Ban as the green flag will come back out on Lap 15, giving a total of six laps remaining. At Lap 18 Logan Wilson has taken over the lead as the rest of the field is five wide behind him, letting him enjoy a slightly larger lead that what is recommended at a track such as Zen Joltis.
The white flag drops over the field as they are still racing hard from first back to about fifteenth. Robert Ban leads the second to last lap but with the rest of the field hounding directly behind him. Coming down to the checkered flag its Germain Racing teammates of Robert Ban and only in his second start Colin Stewart racing side by side coming off of turn four. Coming down to the line Robert Ban has direct drafting help from Logan Wilson while Emelio Navarrate falls back from Colin Stewart, giving Ban the edge to take the win away from the Rookie.
Coming to the end of the race, we get an important message across the desk having to deal with championship contender Tony Speed. During the second caution period, Speed left his pit box with equipment and did not adhere to NNSCRA officials telling him to come down pit road to do a drive through penalty. With a twelfth place finish along with the five points getting docked from him, his chance for the championship could be over depending on what happens with the other two Divisions.
The entire top ten of the finishing results are: Ban, Stewart, Wilson, Navarrate, Rodgers, Jackson, Breton, Bayne, Wales, and Lisa Shears.

Coast to "Acosta": From Dead Last, Taylor Gets it Done at Zen Joltis; Whitney Get Job Done
The final race for the drivers in the Division 2 of the Snickers cup series. In the field today there is another one driver currently in the hunt for the championship. Trent Whitney according to the live points would need a Top 5 finish to beat out Tony Speed who finished twelfth in Division 1, however he got penalized five points for not adhering to a drive through penalty. Those five points could come back to bite him now. He starts near the back in twenty-first position. Pole sitter for this race is Jamie Mukli.
Green flag drops over the field as the start of the race off of the bat seems a little more controlled from what we saw in the division one race. Mukli leads the field down into the turn as things begin to get close between the rest of the drivers. Coming through turns three and four a massive crash takes place near the front of the field and right behind championship contender Whitney. Down to the caution flag McCrury edges out in a four wide battle to take the lead under caution.
Looking back at the replay, Red Belle and Chris Warner make slight contact with each other and not having anywhere else to go they go down onto Jacob Cook and from there there is just nowhere to go for anyone that was not running the inside line. Devin Wilson, Barney Ward, and Danny Wells were all overturned and up into the catchfence with cars surrounding them who were also involved. Unable to mention all of the drivers that were involved to an extent due to all of the smoke and cars that were involved. Cars retired due to damage sustained: Red Belle, Zohar Monud, Nick Bergen, Jacob Cook, Margret Mason, Barney Ward, Zach Carlson, Logan Ryan, Michael Nemechek, William Duncan, Danny Wells, Shaun Gallighan, Daniel Schwab, and Devil Wilson. Jamie Mukli and Joseph Bryant were involved and had to take extensive time to repair damage on pit road to set them one lap behind on the restart.
Green flag drops once again on lap six with after pit stops, McCrury continues to hold the lead over the remaining drivers. Due to the slower cars on the inside, nobody through turns one and two drops to the inside and make their moves for the lead on the backstretch. A long green flag run with it being led mostly by John Worry is where we see pit stops beginning to start. On lap ten Dillion Young seems to have problems getting his car slowed down, going onto the grass for an extended time before almost hitting the pit wall as he is the first car to drop down for his scheduled stop. Seemingly with the same problem just a few seconds later Jamie Mukli follows his line as he and Young are the only two to pit on this lap. The following lap we find three more of the lead pack cars dropping down for pit stops in Whitney, Sam Young, and Taylor Acosta. However on lap eleven and in the middle of pit stops the caution comes back out. Jake Cole sneaks by the slower machine of Mukli as he leads them down to the caution.
The replay for the second caution of the day. Seemingly many of the cars are having problems slowing down to get down pit road as once again we find two drivers this time on the grass to try to help them slow down to reach pit road speed. Luke Walker and Richard Johnson are coming down side by side, Walker tries to get off of the grass and onto the pavement to safely reach pit road. Johnson gives him a bit of room, but it apparently wasn't enough as Walker slams nose first into the unprotected edge of the pit wall. Johnson as well had nowhere to go and rammed into the back of Walker's suddenly stopped machine. Both Walker and Johnson are retired from the race.
The possible final green flag of the D2 of the Snickers cup series will come out on lap sixteen. Due to green flag and caution flag pit stops, championship contender Trent Whitney cycles around to the all-important lead to the restart.
Coming down to the white flag Chad Skinner leads them down as Sam Young needed to make an emergency pit stop as they were coming down for the flag. Terrible luck for Young as the top twelve or so cars are still in the hunt for the final win of the season. Side by side all the way massive superspeedway until the final corner. Acosta gets a great draft from behind and was able to block the rest of the field down to the line for her first win of her career. Trent Whitney needed a top five to be able to beat out Tony Speed from Division one and he finishes the race in fifth position to give him a two point advantage over Speed and knocking him out of the championship hunt. The rest of the top ten were: Acosta, McCloud, Dillion Young, Chambers, Whitney, Worry, Cole, McCrury, James, and Skinner.

Hendrick's McCrury Seals Season 3 with Victory; Whitney Wins Championship by 1 Point!!!!!!!
Not only is this the final race for the Snickers Cup series, but this is the final race of Season three period. Division three is where all of the questions about who will take home the Snickers cup series trophy. Already Tony Speed has been knocked out of a chance for it after he took a five point penalty during his division one race, then getting beaten in points by Trent Whitney in Division two by only two points. Now after this race, all questions will be answered and one driver will stand tall as the Season three Snickers Cup Series Champion.
There is not just one driver in this division in the hunt for the title like the previous two divisions, there are an amazing four drivers that will be fighting for the championship. Aaron Williams will start in fourth, John Acosta will start ninth, Dillion Poteet will start twentieth, and Dougie Shears will be the worst starting contender in twenty-sixth. The pole sitter however for the final race is Ziggy Bayne as the final race has gotten the green flag.
As in Division two the race down into turn number one was clean and mostly side-by-side for at least half of the field. However that quickly changed as the cars got up to speed and drivers wanted all they could get early on in this twenty-one lap race. The longest initial green flag takes place, however it is interrupted coming out of turn four as another major accident takes place near the front of the field. Textbook blocking helped Bayne keep the lead and leading them back to the line.
Checking the replay to see what happened to cause the caution. Jake Rodgers running one lane higher than the inside line wanted to get down to the inside line, however his spotter didn't alert him to Seth Cole who had already taken the line and was beside of him. Rodgers and Cole both slide to the apron, however while Cole's machine is able to straighten back up and continue without problems Rodger's car snaps back too quickly, sending him back up the racetrack and into almost the entire field. Brandon Gonzales, Wolfgang Mason, and Matthew McMurray are the first drivers that Rodger's car adds into the crash. From there only the two inside lanes were free which meant much of the field had nowhere to go and were collected into the wreck. The most notables which were involved were Acosta, Williams, and Poteet were all collected in this one accident. Cars retired due to damage from the accident: Schwallenberg, Rodgers, Dobberpuhl, MaGoon, Championship contender Williams, Juke, Championship contender Poteet, Gonzales, and Championship contender Acosta.
A sharp swerve in the race as in one caution it goes from five drivers in a race for the championship to simply two. Dougie Shears will need to finish higher than twelfth position to clinch the title, otherwise Trent Whitney will be the Snickers Cup series champion for Season three. Pit stops occurred during the caution period, however Ziggy Bayne continues to hold the lead as the green flag is displayed once again on lap six.
Lap six is also our first complete green flag lap as once again, Ziggy Bayne is still the leader. Bayne has led every lap so far in the race, possibly having found something that none of the other drivers were able to in any of the other races at Zen Joltis. Lap seven we also see something odd with Mary Cole. As just one lap after the green flag was displayed she drops down and begins the pit sequence earlier than we saw in the previous two races. Liam Urevig is the next one to drop down pit road on lap eight as a hard fought battle for the lead continues to rage on at full speed.
Pit stops continue on lap eleven as three more cars come down to pit road, however one car does not make it to hit pit. Just like in the Division two race, Ricky Hawke while trying to slow up to get into pit road had too much dirt onto his tires, causing him to lose traction as he plowed nose first into the unprotected pit wall. However unlike the previous accident, no caution was thrown as crews were able to get his disabled car out of the way in time.
However the very next lap a shocking and unprecedented accident takes place coming down to pit road again. Just like Hawke did, Shears and pole sitter Bayne again went through the grass to get down pit road. When the two of them tried to come back onto the pavement, their cars lose traction and both of them slam into the pit wall once again. This shocking turn of events will cause both drivers to be done for the day but it also ends the fight for the title. Shears needed to finish twelfth place or higher and his DNF will give him the finishing position of twenty-third. This means that the battle for the Snickers Cup Series Championship is over and Trent Whitney will come away with the championship for Season three.
The shocking crash also brought out the second caution of the day. The green flag will be displayed once again on lap seventeen with Toby Ward using pit strategy to get the lead when the rest of the lead lap cars needed to make their stops. Ralph Mason however will be starting in front of the leaders on the tail end of the lead lap.
Caution flag is displayed once again on lap nineteen which means it was a race down to the line for one final time to see who would take the final checkered flag of the season. McCrury led the field all the way around and just as the cars were beginning to line up behind him they broke back up into different likes, giving the lead at the line to McCrury and the victory of Division three at Zen Joltis.
Checking to see the final caution of the day, Chris Carter Jr. get into Pichu London, sending is car down into Brad Anomia and Joshua Micheals. London's car way able to continue on with no problems however the other two were not as lucky. Anomia's car nosed into the inside wall at the same time that Micheal's car reared into the wall a few feet in front of him. Both cars spin and slide down the remainder of the back straightaway and back up the banking to the racing line which caused the NNSCRA officials to throw the caution.
McCrury follows the pace car during the caution and under the flag stand to take the final checkered flag of Season three. The rest of the top ten were as follows: Rodriguez, Ehlers, Carter, Cooper, Harvey, Marshall, Harris, Anderson, and Cole.
